Now just to tell you a little bit about who I am, do me a favor and check this out. I was born in the year of 1950 in Knoxville, Tennessee, just five years after the end of World War II. My father decided to move our family to Chicago, Illinois, close to two years after my birth. Shortly after, we moved to where I was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and reside to this day. I spent four years in the US Navy's military and later attended the University of Cincinnati in the field of computer programming. Shortly after I turned thirty, I married my lovely wife, Judy. We conceived five children who are grown and doing their own thing now. I am now an elder at Bethel#2 Apostolic Pentecostal Church and have been an elder for about 30 years.
Now at this point, I am seeking representation for my fictional mystery/murder/thriller with a bit of romance novel, called From The Darkness. I think my work would be a good fit for a traditional publisher or agent of a traditional publisher. From The Darkness is a 69022-word novel about the worst thing that could ever happen to any sane person’s life, but later a change for the good.
The main characters of my novel are Special Agent Richard Vance of the FBI and Joshua Phillips, a high-ranking salesman for Evans Oils. These are two of the most brilliantly successful men in their fields. In the novel Special Agent Richard Vance resides in Sarasota, Florida, the other gentleman Joshua Phillips resided in Canada; until he got promoted which sent him to live in Sarasota Florida. As soon as he got there, Joshua began to have very sensual romantic dreams of a woman he never met, or at least it was what he believed. Around that time, Special Agent Richard Vance and his partner Special Agent Lisa Fields had found themselves involved in trying to solve three horrific murders, that the police in Sarasota could not seem to do so themselves. And if that wasn’t enough, someone greater is about to change one of the two main character’s lives, even to the point of death; the question is--which one and why?
As some may know, I wrote my first novel, Never Die On A Cold Night, in 1995 because my position as an elder in the church gave me the space I needed to do so. Yet, I did not publish the novel until 2018, when I self-published it with Amazon Publishing. After that I wrote three more, which completed the Never Die On A Cold Night series.
My previous work has appeared in online bookstores and a library in Cincinnati, Ohio. My unique experiences in my ministerial church position have given me insight into many people's lives and their afflictions. From The Darkness is not about religion but the possible twists and turns of many human lives, which inspired me to write this fictional story.
I want to thank you for taking the time to check me out and possibly reading my previous novels. If you’d like to read a bit about each novel in the series, just click on the link below. Now if you are an agent or a conventual publisher, I’d look forward to possibly hearing from you in the near future. Again, thank you for time.
